Portobello Road !!

Everything in Portobello !! Seriously, you can get what you want. Antiques, books, cafes,fresh food, fashion !! all are available. Its the world's largest antiques market!! I went there on Saturday morning and came with these pics.

P.S the first 3 pictures are normal Portobello where you can see them every Saturday including The Travel Bookshop where they filmed the "Notting Hill" movie for Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. But the last pic was for Princess Beatrice (the one who's carrying the red bag) with her American boyfriend called Dave! My cousin and I where in Maps shop just before we had left they entered but, unfortunately this is the best shot I could take !!!

9 days in London

I went to London for the holiday. It was just 9 days break from working and the weather was simply amazing besides that I feel home there, it was nice family and friends gathering since my cousin went to study there and a friend of mine went to work there and others who we rarely meet in Kuwait! on the other hand my cousins who I really enjoy London with them and without them London is just different it was a great reunion I went to Liverpool St. to catch up with my X-managers and colleagues . There in the financial area its really sad story if you went there you can feel the change, sudenly they sell a whole department and the other department just disappear!!! and the story is still didn't reach the last chapter yet ! Anyways I had some pictures I'd like to share it with you.

Abu Dhabi airport !!

Its 7:00 am when I arrived to Abu Dhabi airport for transit for 4 hrs. Its horrible ! Jee, its more like i`m in Mumbai airport! my cousins told me about it but, I didn't thought it will be that bad and that OLD! any way it`s better to take their advice about this airport. They told me to go to the  lounge which is much better and here I am now, waiting for my next flight! really tired, happy and can`t wait to be there. Where ? yep, LONDON again :D 

7asoon Mu6ar !!!

Cafaterya Al Ijaza is very famous in Dubai. It is always crowded by young people. "7asoon mu6ar" is one popular kind of sandwiches. So, I gave it a try and then we went to another Cafaterya by mistake my friend asked about "7asoon mu6ar"  then the Indian guy answered with a big smile on his face: "yes, ako 7asoon mu6ar and we decided to give it a try too.

Arabic bread, french fries, sesame juice, cheese and hot souce = 7asoon mu6ar !!

The Ijaza cafaterya won, its much lighter and better taste. 

It's was such a great adventure to 7asoon mu6ar !! ;p 

Bad day !

Yesterday wasn't my day. I woke up late so I was late to work. Then I had this Korean company which had very complicated financial statements. Then,  My mobile fell in a sank ! Damn I love my Blackberry !!! I was almost in tears. Everything in my Blackberry! I felt like I'm lost n wild life without it so, I decide to take a break and went to buy any cheap cell to see what will happen to my BB. So I bought Nokia in 19KD and with camera ;p in 24hrs or less its stop work ! But thanks God now I got new Bold :) 

How old is she ?

To start with, I'm speechless !! Damn she is HOT and if you want to check your guessing SHE IS JUST 56 YEARS OLD ! what shall I say ? BRAVO !! 

Merrill Lynch & Barclays ... Welcome to Kuwait

Last week, Merrill Lynch announced that they are opening in Kuwait before the end of 2008. Today I was reading Kuwait Al-Youm I saw this: Barclays logo to be received in Kuwait with Details written below: insurance, finance, personal mortgage loan services in addition to stocks, investment, taxation, credits and so on. along with ATM machines, I really do love this bank for no reason!. Any way, this makes us sure that many other foreign banks will soon open in Kuwait. In the past few years, we were begging them to open in Kuwait. Now they are here before we know! 

I think this is a positive side of the Wall Street and the world economic drama!

I was watching the news. It was almost over: Obama 338 and MCcain 156. Its such a historic election! when I arrived at work, I didn't watch his speech(HERE). My friends and my family were talking about it, specially about Mrs. Ann Nixon Cooper the 106 years old woman (HERE). 

Now its over but can he really make a different? many of muslims and Arabs think that but come on most of his supports come from jewish !

Blackberry is issuing new phone which will be a touch screen. The official blackberry.com site did not announce about this new smart phone. Therefore, I don't know when exactly it will be released. However, they announced about the new pearl which I think it is the only flip smart phone. Blackberry has been issuing new phones in a very short time, I think they are trying to compete hardly with i-phones and other smart phones. 

Personally, I don't like the touch screen phones. They are so annoying when you use them. So far, I'm waiting to use the bold. Some of my friends like it so far, one of them complained about the freeze when he uses the internet. Yet, am satisfied with 8800 till now ;p

To the UK or not !!

I'm planning to visit new countries and cities in my next holiday trips. Now I have two major problems. First, I've been planning for this for a while, but I always end up with visiting the UK, simply because I love this country !! Second, I have just started working and my holidays are limited ;/ Any way. I'll list down the countries which I'd plan to visit and see how many of them would visit this year ! not ending up with a visit to the UK as I usually do.

The list of countries include: India, Greece, South Africa, Boston, Malaysia, Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Syria, Florence, Vienna, Portugal and so on; however, to be truthful, I will stop here!

fill your tanks !!

Starting from tomorrow, Kuwait National Petroleum co. laborers are on strike! The labor announced so. Therefore, hurry up and fill your tanks with petrol. I have no idea how long it will take, especially we're on weekend, Of course the tanks are almost empty ! ;p

** my friend just told me that the strike will be in Shu'aiba only and the gas stations will be open as usual. **

Starbucks "Nuzha" ..... coming soon !!

Starbucks is everywhere in Kuwait, but I was wondering when they will open in Nuzha. Finally, they'll open soon in block 3, which for me is gonna be closer than Audailya, which I really hate, and Hawalli; I like the branch especially in the morning. For me its a plus opening in Nuzha, cause its a 2 minute drive from my house, and excellent for morning coffee. (:

I have no idea why this is annoying me..It has been for a while now, but as long as I have my blog and a camera in my bag, I'll post it for the sake of spelling!

God help the foreign people, people who are not familiar with the names of streets in Kuwait, They will, without a doubt, get confused between "Damascus" , "Damashq", and "Demascus"!

OMG.. it's BOLD !

I'm a BlackBerry addict. since I used it I can't switch to any other cell phone. my cousin got the new BlackBerry "BOLD" It's really amazing !! you can edit the file you have or receeved via email..etc. The disadvantage of this version is that it's a bit bigger than "8800" yet, it comes with a camera... check the official introduction video and enjoy the show!! :)

choc. Milk Vs. sports drink !

I use to drink Gatorade from time to time when I'm playing squash and wondering what the different and what it really do inside ME ! so, I google it. And I found a study from 2004 published in CBS News web-site saying that: " Common sports drinks such as Gatorade supply those carbs, as well as fluids and electrolytes lost through sweat. However, more recent research suggests that adding protein to the mix may further hasten recovery. Hence the new wave such as Endurox R4 that include protein as well as higher doses of carbs.

In the study, nine male cyclists rode until their muscles were depleted of energy, then rested four hours and biked again until exhaustion. During the rest period, the cyclists drank low-fat CHOCOLATE MILK, GATORADE, or ENDUROX R4. During a second round of exercise, the cyclists who drank the chocolate milk were able to bike 50% LONGER THAN those who drank Endurox, and ABOUT AS LONG AS those who drank the Gatorade.

The finding suggest that chocolate milk has an optimal ratio of carbohydrates to protein to help refuel tired muscles, researcher Joel M. Stager, PhD, Indiana Univ. kinesiology prof., tells WebMD."

I like this cartoon since I was a child  and I really enjoyed the movie ... 

so, here's some good news.. the family are heading back. but wait a minute the first movie took 4 years to be in the big screen so, when the new movie will hit the theaters ?  I won't be excited or more excited until 4 more years !!
